On 11 Dec 2014, the United Nations Millennium Development Goals – Green Office Awards (GOALS) Ceremony jointly organized by the World Green Organization and Junior Chamber International was held in Bank of America Tower in Central in Hong Kong with environmentalists from all walks of life coming together. Acetop Precious Metals Limited was invited to attend and was awarded Green Office Label for two consecutive years.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Frank Chan, JP, Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services. Mr. Michael Lai, BBS, MH, JP, Chairman of Board of Governors of the organizer World Green Organization delivered a welcoming speech for the event and introduced the Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme (GOALS) for the guests present. The Green Office Scheme was initiated by World Green Organization and attracted participation of representatives of nearly 100 institutions. Through provision of environmental protection training for enterprises, it helps to formulate emission reduction plans so as to achieve the purpose of saving office energy.

At the ceremony, the organizer broadcasted a short video entitled “The Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme Tour” to review the achievements of the 2014 Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme, and officially announced details of the 2015 Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme, and encouraged corporate representatives from all walks of life to actively support it.

The contribution of Acetop to environmental protection in the past year has once again been recognized by the World Green Organization. On behalf of the company, Chief Executive Officer and Registered Manager of Acetop Precious Metals Limited received the trophy and certificate from the organizer for the Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme.

Since winning the award last year, winning again this year is the result of the joint effort of all staff of Acetop. We have been actively implementing the concept of environmental protection, starting from small things, insisting on low-carbon, environmental protection and recycling during work to truly integrate green culture into office environment. We also cherish water and electricity and save energy in life, and always remember to protect and improve the environment.

In the future, Acetop will uphold corporate social responsibility, continue promoting environmental protection education and implement environmental protection concepts to jointly create a green office and build a green earth.
