July 1, 2017 marks the 20th Anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China and the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

In order to deliver care and warmth to the elderly living alone and low-income families, Acetop Precious Metals Limited sponsored a large-scale "LST Buddy - Celebrations for All" volunteer service on 3 June 2017 organized by Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society to visit elderly people in need.

Ir. Eric Kwok, Chairman of Lok Sin Tong delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the activity. As to show gratitude to companies and institutions contributing to this activity, a certificate of appreciation was issued to the most prominent group. On behalf of the company, Mr. Nick Ku, Registered Manager and Chief Analyst of Acetop Precious Metals Limited, accepted the gratitude to Acetop for the charity sponsorship and the volunteer team.

After listening to visiting techniques and precautions, the volunteers started home visits by distributing “Blessing Bags” with various supplies and actively communicating with the elderly. Some small issues in daily life were recorded and transferred to social workers to follow up. In the early summer, the weather is getting hot. And hence the volunteer team explained various ways of cooling the summer to the elderly in a humorous way, making the atmosphere quite harmonious.

Since the return of Hong Kong during the past 20 years, the economic and cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Motherland have continued to deepen, and Acetop has also become a “Golden Bridge” in connecting both places. It’s our belief that improving people’s livelihood is the foundation of social progress and also unshrinkable responsibility of large enterprises. In the spirit of “Never Forgetting Why You Started”, Acetop has not only sponsored social welfare undertakings, but also actively participated in charitable activities over the years.
